About Us
We are Joan and Dave Benner, and we are proud adoptive parents of two very precious angels. We began Precious Angels Adoption in 2009 to help parents through the sometimes difficult adoption process.
We have been married for over 20 years, and after the heartache of unsuccessful fertility testing and treatment, we chose to form our family through adoption.
Our adoption journey began in 2002, and after four years of unsuccessful agency matches and many scams we decided to begin the search for our guardian angel through personal advertising and networking. Early in 2006 we were pleased to announce that we connected with our children’s birthparents, and ultimately were blessed with two beautiful, healthy baby girls! Having experienced firsthand the perils of the adoption and foster care systems, it wasn’t until we took the process into our own hands that we found success and adopted our children. Because of our unique personal experiences in adoption, we have traveled this journey and are totally understanding of the fears, anxieties and dreams associated in the adoption process.
We strongly encourage an open communication line between the birth and adoptive parents. Adoption should truly be a joyous event for all. With adopton, the child “wins” because he or she is not only given the chance to live, but to live in a home with loving parents who can provide for his or her needs. Adoption is also a win for those couples who choose to adopt because they have the benefit of a precious new life to nurture. Finally, adoption is a win for the birth mother because she benefits from knowing that she has made the mature and beautiful choice of giving life to a child, providing for that child by finding a safe and happy home, and selflessly sharing that new life with others. Your love for your child, a love that only a mother can give, will always be his or her very first gift.
